The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam formally visited the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) today. She was briefed several research projects, including ‘e-Orch and the Grid Notation’ delivered by KreativeLab.
Dr Leung Chi Hin, the Chief Advisor of KreativeLab and an Assistant Professor of EdUHK, stated that the Grid Notation “makes it easier for students to read musical scores [and] arouse their interest in learning music”.
Mrs Lam said that “it is encouraging that some EdUHK research projects are prize winners in open or international competitions, while some have been adopted in education and other aspects, benefiting students and members of the public.”
KreativeLab will continue to update and develop education programs to match the continuously changing needs of local schools.
